Armour Group Awarded Development Contract

first_img A consortium of business partners, led by The Armour GroupLimited of Halifax, has been awarded the contract to complete afeasibility study on a proposed Halifax waterfront development. Waterfront Development Corp. issued a request for proposals lastNovember seeking proposals for development of Queen’s Landing, aparcel of land owned by the corporation between Prince and Georgestreets. The feasibility study will also examine a possible expansion ofthe Maritime Museum of the Atlantic that could include increasingits scope and exhibits relating to maritime history. The development project will be managed by Waterfront DevelopmentCorp. in association with the Nova Scotia Department of Tourism,Culture and Heritage and the Office of Economic Development. The project is planned in three stages, beginning with thefeasibility assessment to determine the viability of the overalldevelopment. If a decision is made to proceed, a separatecontract will be negotiated with The Armour Group Limited toproceed to design and construction.
