Brazil star insists he’s happy at Chelsea despite Atletico Madrid links

first_img Felipe Luis with Oscar 1 Chelsea defender Filipe Luis insists he is happy at Stamford Bridge but admits things in football can change very quickly.The left-back is playing second fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta and that is unlikely to change with the Blues’ first choice a serious contender for player of the season in that position.Luis has started just seven Premier League matches this season and that has fuelled suggestions he will return to Atletico Madrid.The 29-year-year old spent four seasons at Atleti, before leaving for west London last summer after winning La Liga under manager Diego ‘El Cholo’ Simeone.“I’m just focused on Chelsea, on working hard and giving my best in order to end the season with another important and beautiful trophy,” Luis said.“Of course, everything can change in football, but I’m happy and have a three-year contract at Chelsea that I’d like to see out.“I’ve had some of the best years of my career at Atletico and remember the supporters, my teammates and the coaching staff fondly“I’m really fond of ‘El Cholo’, he’s a coach that taught me so much.”last_img read more
