Former West Brom chief gets big unveiling today in challenging new…

first_imgPepe Mel’s time in charge of West Brom may have been short, but it was certainly eventful. The Spaniard arrived at West Brom in January 2014 but 17 matches later he was already out the door.Having to deal with the Nicolas Anelka controversy and claims of dressing room unrest, Mel’s adventure in English football was cut short and he returned to Spain to eventually take up the reigns at Real Betis again.Mel had been with Betis before joining West Brom and was respected at the Seville club but he ended up sacked from that role in January of last year, after results saw Betis slip towards the relegation zone. After over a year out of management, Mel has now returned to work and will take charge of Deportivo La Coruna. One place above the relegation places, Deportivo will be hoping Mel can have a quicker impact than he did at West Brom.Spanish newspaper Marca report that Mel will have a big unveiling on Tuesday, with the club’s training subsequently delayed until late afternoon to give the manager a chance to meet his players first. With Mel’s West Brom failure constantly referred to in Spain, this is a chance for him to perform a rescue act and rebuild his reputation.by Taboolaby TaboolaSponsored LinksSponsored LinksPromoted LinksPromoted LinksTrending TodayForge of Empires – Free Online GameIf You Like to Play, this Game is a Must-HaveForge of Empires – Free Online GameUndo聽多多 Hearmore.asia1969年前出生的香港居民現可免費試戴頂尖的歐洲助聽器聽多多 Hearmore.asiaUndo美術寶1對1香港媽媽們注意了,速來領取適合4-12歲孩子的繪畫課,手慢無美術寶1對1UndoSingles50Hong Kong: A 40+ Dating Site That Actually Works!Singles50UndoTheTopFiveVPNEnjoy Netflix Now Without Any RestrictionsTheTopFiveVPNUndoPerfect-Dating.comAre You Ready to Meet Cool Guys in Tung Chung?Perfect-Dating.comUndo熱門話題生髮率無敵高!96%的禿頭都獲得改善!←這會不會長太多?熱門話題UndoSmart Tech TrendOver 55? Pochettino says “different agendas in Spurs squad” after shock Colchester defeat

first_imgTottenham are on the verge of crisis after their poor start to the Premier League season was followed up with a shock defeat against fourth division Colchester United on Tuesday.  He added: “When you have an unsettled squad always it’s difficult and you lose time, then you need time to recover the time you lose. Brian Owen Spurs made 11 changes to their side but there was still room in the team for Eric Dier, Víctor Wanyama, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli, while Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-Min and Erik Lamela came off the bench. However, they were unable to stop the game ending in a draw and Colchester won on penalties. Eriksen and Moura missed from the spot.  Pochettino se pronuncia tras su escandalosa eliminación copera IN SPORT.ES 25/09/2019center_img The former Espanyol coach added that his squad is “unsettled” and said there are “different agendas” among the players at the moment after last season’s run to the Champions League final.  “We feel disappointed because we dominated the 90 minutes, but we were not aggressive in the last third in the way you expect. It’s about doing your job, and this lack of aggression in the last third made the reality.” Upd. on 26/09/2019 at 14:54 CEST Pochettino said: “Colchester played a fantastic game. We did nearly everything good until the last third. Sometimes you score, sometimes you don’t. “That’s where we are. Maybe our performances are good but you need this extra, which is mental, connection. It’s energy to be all together, not to have different agendas in the squad. “We are in a period where it’s a bit tough for us, but we keep working to find a solution. When this type of thing happens it’s about staying clear and fresh and calm. We’re trying to find solutions and we only need time.”last_img read more
