first_imgUnited Airlines has announced a new daily flight between Washington DC and Geneva, connecting the US capital to the world’s banking hub.The new non-stop passenger flight will be operated using United’s newly reconfigured aircraft, which feature flat-bed seats in first and business class.Commenting on the new route, Kevin Knight, senior vice president at United Airlines, said that the airline was striving to adjust its capacity to meet market conditions.”Our flights to Geneva and London provide our customers with convenient access to two international business, financial and diplomatic centres that are also popular tourist destinations,” he said.United has also announced that it is reinstating a daily service between Denver and London from March 29th to October 23rd and 24th, which will offer flight passengers in Colorado the chance to fly to the UK non-stop during peak travel season.Tickets for the new Washington to Geneva route went on sale on November 18th, with prices starting at £303. United announced last week that it was the first US carrier to participate in the Asia and South Pacific Initiative to Reduce Emissions (Aspire).
