LISTEN: Mario Balotelli ‘has held talks with English clubs’, reveals Mino Raiola

first_imgSuper-agent Mino Raiola has told talkSPORT former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has ‘already held talks with English clubs’ over a possible return to the Premier League. He also said Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was too quick to judge and offload the striker last summer.Balotelli – who spent a miserable two years on Liverpool’s books, netting just four times – has rediscovered his scoring touch since signing for French side Nice at the start of the season. The 26-year-old has scored ten goals in 13 appearances for the surprise Ligue 1 leaders, with Nice currently four points clear of second place Monaco and seven clear of defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.The Italy international’s return to form has, naturally, sparked rumours he could be set for a THIRD spell in the Premier League. And while Raiola – who also represents stars Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan – admitted talks with English clubs have occurred, he insists the striker’s future is still uncertain.Asked if there’s a possibility Balotelli could return to England, Raiola told talkSPORT host Jim White: “There could be.“We’ve already had talks with English clubs, but it’s really too early to say. We want to keep it day-by-day with Mario.“For Mario I always knew it [his return to form] will come. He was in his last year at Liverpool and he was very stable and not so emotional anymore.“I still think it’s a shame that Klopp didn’t give him a fair chance, but Mario is proving to himself, more than to others, what he can do.“It’s his career – I think he understands a lot of things and he knows what he did as a mistake in the past.“But it’s useless to look back, it’s only useful to look forward.”Listen to talkSPORT’s interview with Mino Raiola IN FULL above!READ MORE:Raiola tells talkSPORT Romelu Lukaku ‘has 99 per cent agreed’ new Everton deal but admits striker could still leave next summer Raiola says Zlatan Ibrahimovic not interested in China riches and there is a ‘big chance’ he will extend Manchester United staylast_img read more
