Chris Kop named Big Cheese Athlete of the Week

first_imgChris Kopby Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow —  Chris Kop, a Wellington High School senior for the Crusader track team, has been named Big Cheese Athlete of the week.Kop was a double-winner at the season opening track meet at Clearwater on Friday in both the shot put and the discus. Kop finished first in the shot put with a 46’2″ throw over 24 other competitors.He then secured a second first-place finish in the discus with a 130′ 1″ throw.For his effort, Kop will receive a FREE delicious pizza at Big Cheese Pizza at 324 N. I wish I could of placed 2nd with 130 feet when I was in school.
