Theinstitute fosters a collegial and stimulating intellectualenvironment for world-class research in molecular evolution,evolutionary genetics, evolution of development, and microbial,population, community, and ecosystems ecology. IE²’s students andfaculty are working in the laboratory and the field to addressfundamental and applied questions about the organization andhistory of life on earth.Position SummaryThe Institute of Ecology and Evolution invites applications for itsResearch Assistant Professor open pool. These positions willconduct independent research using biological, computational,mathematical, and statistical methods to analyze, interpret andcompile results. The Research Assistant Professor will present theresults of their intellectual work at international conferences andpublish results in peer-reviewed journals. These positions may beresponsible for providing training to graduate and undergraduatestudents in methods and analyses and may supervise technicians andresearch staff.Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewablefor up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, thereis the possibility of renewal beyond three years based onprogrammatic need, funding and performance.
